Sheryl is from Uganda where she studied biotechnology and finished her bachelor's degree at the Makerere University. She subsequently joined the Institute Sophia Agrobiotech in Sophia Antipolis (ISA) (FR) for her master during which she conducted a research internship in plant-nematode interactions. Sheryl joined our group in January 2025 for a M2 project which is embedded “Biocontrol Solutions for Plant Health (BOOST)” program of the University Côte d’Azur and ISA. Her M2 project aims on the identification of plant components involved in the perception of immunogenic lipids from the fungal plant pathogen Botrytis cinerea.
